Abstract |
Intramuscular administration of Norgestrel, an orally active progestogen, to male rats for 48 days interrupted spermatogenesis and also caused a temporary loss of libido. Testosterone therapy restored libido in progesterone treated rats but not the spermatogenic process. Consequent upon these findings, a new combination of Norgestrel and Testosterone, capable of inducing temporary sterility in male rats, has been evolved. |
