| Abstract |
Demographic transition is the process of change in a population from high birth and death rates to low rates. This process usually occurs alongside rapid socio-economic development; advances in medical technology and healthcare; improvements in living standards and education; and public policies that support the health and well-being of the population. Population aging and a reduction in the workforce put pressure on productivity and social support systems. |
