Pembangunan model dan modul terapeutik berasaskan kaunseling untuk menangani gangguan orang ketiga dalam perkahwinan

Abstract: This study aims to develop a therapeutic model and module based on family counseling to address third-party interference in marriages in Malaysia. Using a qualitative approach through semi-structured interviews with 17 couples and three expert counselors, the study identifies contributing factors to the interference, its effects on the well-being of couples and families, as well as the therapeutic elements needed in the intervention. The findings of the study produced the Marital Relationship Interference Cycle Model (KGHP) and the K.A.S.I.H Intervention Model, complete with the K.A.S.I.H Therapeutic Counseling Module, a module that tackles third-party interference in a structured, integrative, and culturally sensitive way to Malaysia.

Penambahbaikan Indeks Kesejahteraan Keluarga Malaysia (IKK): berasaskan data LPPKN

Abstract: This study aims to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the existing IKK and to suggest strategic improvements that are more responsive and inclusive. The study uses a mixed-method approach, involving secondary analysis of FWI data from 2011-2022, systematic literature review, in-depth interviews with seven expert informants, and a comparative analysis with international wellbeing indices. To address the issue of score instability, the study proposes a strategic shift from purely subjective measurement to the integration of Administrative Data (objective) such as JKM aid statistics, PDRM crime indices, and local authority infrastructure data as triangulation agents. The study also recommends conducting Local Situation Analyses, Longitudinal Panel Studies, and pilot studies of new instruments before full implementation.

Abstract: Population Dynamics of Perlis – With a small demographic scale and a population of around 297,800 people, even small changes in birth rates or migration have a big impact on the age structure. There's also the phenomenon of out-migration, where young people leave to look for career opportunities in more developed states, leaving an increasingly older community in Perlis. The aging process is speeding up because the combination of a low Total Fertility Rate (TFR) and youth migration causes the elderly dependency ratio to rise faster. Perlis is at risk of being one of the states to age earlier in Malaysia if there are no long-term strategic interventions. Some suggested policies and strategic directions include Perlis population policy, which is about integrating fertility, migration, and aging issues into the state's development planning.

Penilaian ke atas Program Pendidikan Kesihatan Reproduktif dan Sosial (PEKERTI) di Institut Pengajian Tinggi Awam (IPTA) dengan menggunakan model penilaian Kirkpatrick

Abstract: The PEKERTI program was introduced by the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM) through the National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN) starting in 2009. Its main purpose is to produce individuals who are knowledgeable and have positive attitudes in reproductive and social health aspects. The National Reproductive and Social Health Education Policy and Action Plan (PEKERTI) 2022-2025 has improved the PEKERTI program until introducing the National PEKERTI program in 2025. The objective of the study is to measure the effectiveness of the program using the 4-stage Kirkpatrick Model. In conclusion, the program is effective in increasing knowledge, confidence, and commitment, but the effect is still moderate. Future focus is to increase involvement, satisfaction and interactive activities for better learning effects. Follow-up interventions after the program can close the gap between knowledge and practice (confidence & commitment).

Abstract: Population aging is a global phenomenon in which the number of elderly people contributes to a large part of the total population of a country. This scenario will occur when the birth rate decreases, the mortality rate stabilizes in line with advancements in healthcare services, and consequently, the life expectancy of the population in a country increases. Globally, we have reached an aging society where the growth of the elderly population exceeds that of the working-age population. An aging population impacts the reduction of productive labor; changes in the economic structure; increased government financial expenditure; pressure on the healthcare system; changes in social and demographic structures; and the preservation of culture and traditions.

Abstract: Human capital development is one of the holistic efforts that emphasize the well-being of individuals and society. Socioeconomic development in Perlis can only be achieved if the potential of human capital is widely utilized. Investment in human capital needs to consider the unique demographics, local economic challenges, and the cultural and religious values of the Perlis community. The main strategy is to increase participation rates in the labor market, especially among youth and graduates, strengthen the relationship between education and industry, and advance local economic sectors such as smart agriculture and community tourism.

Abstract: It is projected that by 2050, the elderly population will be significantly larger than the number of children under the age of five, reaching two billion within the next 50 years. This growth wave also affects Malaysia, where the elderly population increased to 9.9% in 2020. Some elderly individuals experience spiritual distress due to the awareness that their lifespan is limited. The application of religious elements is considered the most effective method to address life's challenges, as it helps individuals achieve mental well-being. As a result, the research has developed a manual, namely the Islamic Psychospiritual Therapy Manual for the Well-being of Elderly Individuals, along with interventions and a Training of Trainers (TOT) program for caregivers.

Abstract: The study aims to explore the factors that create a gap between knowledge and practice regarding reproductive health for women in Malaysia. Additionally, it measures the level of knowledge about reproductive and sexual health among women, examines attitudes towards reproductive and sexual health, investigates practices regarding reproductive and sexual health, and identifies factors influencing the level of knowledge, attitudes, and practices related to reproductive and sexual health among women. The findings suggest that the low level of knowledge about family planning indicates that some women have misunderstandings about the functions of family planning methods. Women with moderate and high levels of knowledge are more likely to practice family planning. Advocacy and educational programs on family planning should be enhanced to ensure that women have accurate information and are able to make informed decisions regarding the use of family planning methods.
